This smooth side, economical US M1858 canteen is made of stainless steel, but has a "tin-like" look, with a pewter spout. It comes complete with a Cork & Chain, and a linen sling. It is correct for both US and CS troops.
Note: We no longer sell tin canteens because the quality of the imported tin we received was poor. This stainless steel canteen has a dull, non-bright, "tin-like" look, but doesn't rust like tin.
