Circa 1859 Ohio Breast Plate. Solid Brass Breast Plate. Used Pre-Civil War for States Militia and Civil War South Carolina. Two loops on back to facilitate fastening the plate on to your cartridge box strap. This plate is supposed to be right in the center of your chest when mounted on the sling.  A copy of an original.
