The Civilian vest has a wool front and a black or brown cotton lining back. It is a 5 button vest with a lapel collar. The front of the vest features 2 exterior fixed flap pockets at the waist. The back is adjustable with a belt and buckle. The vest is lined and has no inside pockets. The buttons are small black leather covered buttons. The vest is available in a variety of wools.

Our civilian frock coat is made of high quality 20 oz. wool. The coat features a 2-button front using leather domed buttons, a 2 button functional cuff, and there are 2 button on the back. The coat has 2 exterior flap pockets and is fully lined in cotton lining.

The M1874 Dyer cartridge pouch is used with the 45/70 rifle or carbine during the Indian Wars. It is made of high quality black leather with a US in oval embossed on the flap. The flap closure has a brass plate and finial. There are two belt loops on the back as well as the arsenal stamp. It is lambs wool lined. The pouch is available in black leather only.

The 1860 Army was adopted as US government ordnance because of its lighter weight, improved balance, and superior ballistics. This 6 shot, .44 caliber round, 8" long barrel percussion revolver became very popular with mounted troops and went on to be the issued sidearm for the US Army for many years. 

This revolver features a steel backstrap and brass trigger guard.

The 1858 Remington, a solid-frame design that was both elegant and reliable, was the prevailing choice of the military officers in the Civil War.

The 1858 Remington New Army is a six-shot, .44 caliber revolver with a blue finish, steel backstrap, and forged frame. The barrel is 8" and the trigger guard is brass. A 5 1/2" barrel is also available.

The Indian War "cavalry" pistol holster has a smaller flap than the Civil War model. This holster is made of high quality leather embossed with "US" on the holster body and features the "Rock Island Arsenal" stamp on the flap. The holster is sewn with white linen thread, has a brass finial, has sewn and riveted belt loop, and a closed bottom.

Designed to fit the single action  SA .45 long colt , 7" barrel it will fit also fit the black powder pistols. 

The holster is worn on the right side, with the gun butt forward. Left handed models are also available. Select black or russet leather.

Our Cavalry Boots feature a one piece front and square toe construction, leather welts with stitched soles and leather pull loops over the boot  tops.  Standard heels are the flat military heel of approximately 1" high.  Leather used is standard weight boot  leather. Black leather only.

These high quality brogans are made with the leather rough side out. It has four eyelets, leather laces and a square toe. The soles are pegged. The US brogans are available only in Black.

Brogan a term generally applied to any heavy, ankle-high shoe specifically, any such shoe worn by a soldier in the Civil War. The standard model of brogan worn by a soldier was the Model 1851 Jefferson, a square-toed model with four eyelets and leather laces. Brogans were interchangeable with the left or right foot, supposedly allowing for even wear on the boots.

Heel plates helped prevent the infantry man's heel leather from wearing out due to the amount of marching.

These heel plates are patterned from the originals found at the Cornith Missisippi Battlefield. The heel plates are made of high quality steel, with counter sunk holes and are sold in pairs. 6 flat head, slotted, screws are included and are correct for the period.

Installation is simple. Position the heel plate over the heel, mark the 3 holes using a pencil, drill a hole narrower and shorter than the screw. Install scews using a screwdriver.

We do not install heel plates on boots and shoes. Heel plates are not recommended for those who wear their boots and shoes mainly inside. If you have heel plates and plan to attend an indoor event, cover your heel plates with duct tape to prevent both slipping and marring the floors.

For decades, African-American soldiers of the US Military remained unsung heroes. The black regiments, first formed in 1866, quickly earned the respect of all. This beautifully illustrated deck of 54 cards pays homage to those individuals who helped change the face of America. This educational card game is great for the entire family.

Originally published in 1865 by Andrew Dougherty, this authentic reproduction of the Civil War Illuminated Playing Card Deck borrows its name and appearance from illuminated medieval manuscripts. The deck is beautifully illuminated with gold ink to recreate the look of the original cards. In the style of the times, this deck features full-length, single-ended court figures, square corners, and traditional non-indexed (no suites nor indices in the corners) styling. The deck is packaged in a strudy upright case.

This authentic reproduction of a Civil War era poker deck of 55 cards features full-length, single-ended court figures. The cards have square corners as in the original 1864 deck. Per the traditional style, there are no indices in the corners of the cards. The original wrapper contained two 1 cent proprietary tax stamps valid from 1862-1871. The box shows a reproduction of these tax stamps with the hand cancellation dated June 2, 1864.
